We are seeking a skilled Tool Room Machinist to support our Maintenance Team in a fast-paced FAA Part 145 repair station. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with machining experience who want to grow within the aviation industry.
What You’ll Do
Support aircraft mechanics and engineering with parts fabrication and repair
Operate and maintain conventional lathes and milling machines (non-CNC)
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions
Take precise measurements to ensure proper tolerances
Plan and sequence machining tasks efficiently
Design and build jigs and templates to aid in fabrication
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
Regulatory Requirements
In accordance with federal regulations, applicants must:
Be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Understand technical manuals and instructions
Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug test (initial and random)
Not have a prior positive DOT drug test (unless rehabilitation requirements are met)
Submit to a background check (not an automatic disqualifier)

Requirements
What We’re Looking For
Strong mechanical aptitude and coordination
High attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
Proficiency in math and measurement
Ability to maintain tolerances of 0.0005" or better
Experience with manual machining (lathe and mill required)
Ability to single-point on a lathe
Comfortable reading and interpreting engineering drawings
TIG welding (aluminum) is a plus, but not required
Willingness to learn new equipment and techniques
Strong communication skills and team mindset
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Manual dexterity for precise assembly work
Comfortable standing for extended periods
Ability to wear required PPE
Must pass pre-employment and random DOT drug and alcohol testing
