Engineering & Fabrication

FAA-approved aircraft parts engineered for legacy platforms, combining original design intent with modern reliability.

Engineering & Fabrication

As legacy aircraft continue to age, the availability of original components becomes increasingly limited. At S & T Aircraft, we address that challenge by developing FAA-approved replacement parts that maintain the function, fit, and intent of the original design while incorporating modern engineering where it makes sense.

Our approach is practical. We don’t just replicate parts, we evaluate them. Materials, wear characteristics, and known failure points are all considered, allowing us to improve durability and reliability without compromising compatibility or authenticity.

We support a wide range of manufacturing pathways depending on the application, including Repair Specifications (RS), Supplemental Type Certificates (STC), and Parts Manufacturer Approvals (PMA). PMA parts are developed and produced through our sister company, S & T Aircraft Parts, LLC, and can be sold independently for broader use.

Most components we produce fall under 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Specifications within our certified repair station. This allows us to manufacture parts specifically for service and overhaul work, often providing a faster and more efficient solution when compared to traditional approval routes. While these parts are not sold individually, they play a critical role in keeping customer-owned equipment in service.

When wider distribution is required, PMA certification provides a path for standalone sales and installation across multiple operators. We evaluate each situation to determine the most appropriate and efficient approval method.

The end goal is consistent: deliver parts that solve real problems, reduce downtime, and extend the service life of aircraft that are becoming increasingly difficult to support.
