Inspection Process
Accurate, no-nonsense component and parts inspections delivering clear, reliable data to guide your next step with confidence.
Not every shop has the time, tooling, or capacity to handle detailed component inspections internally. When that’s the case, S & T Aircraft provides a reliable option to get accurate answers without slowing down your operation. Our inspection services are performed at our certified repair station and are focused entirely on evaluation so you get a clear picture of a component’s condition.
Every unit starts with an incoming inspection to check for shipping damage. If anything is found, we let you know right away so you can address it with the carrier before moving forward.
From there, we review your inspection requirements and determine the appropriate methods. Different components call for different approaches, and this step ensures we’re using the right process from the start.
Before any measurements are taken, all tooling is verified for current calibration and traceability to NIST standards. We also check equipment against on-site master standards to maintain accuracy and consistency across every inspection.
With everything confirmed, we carry out the inspection to your specifications. This may include dimensional checks, functional evaluation, or Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), depending on what’s required.
If a component doesn’t meet inspection criteria, we’ll document the findings and notify you promptly. Regardless of the outcome, all parts are returned securely packaged, along with the information you need to determine next steps.
The goal is simple: give you clear, accurate data so you can make informed decisions about your components.
